Cook-Along, for better lung health! A low histamine approach to managing lung disease symptoms

Updated: Feb 17

This week's blog post is a bit different than the usual posts. This week, let's get in the kitchen!

Join Tracey, one of the Histamine Haven mavens here, and cook along with her in the video below, as she makes a nutrient dense histamine-busting recipe. This fits the bill for breakfast, lunch or dinner (or is it Brinner?).

Allow us to introduce you to the Histamine Haven Maple Pecan Bake!

This simple, delicious recipe is packed with key nutrients to help with lung health, and help reduce histamine mediated troubles as well! As we are diving in to all things Respiratory Health this month, we thought this might be a fun way to wrap up the month of June.

Recipe notes:

Recipe serves 4.

Leftovers can be refrigerated or frozen for other meals.

Shopping List:

  • 1 lb (450 g) turkey breast tenders

  • 3 medium zucchini (roughly 750 g)

  • 3 granny smith apples

  • 1 cup (125 g) pecans

  • 1 clove garlic

  • Sea salt

  • Avocado oil (suggest Chosen Foods or Primal Kitchen brand – I find many others are rancid)

  • Maple syrup

This cook-along class was originally put together by request for The Lung Association for their Better Breathers Group. Find them online here.
